Scripting dreams

If you could script tonights dream, would the plot be? Here goes…

  1. I am in the Doctor Who headquarters.
  2. In front of me are all the Series 6 episodes.
  3. I watch them.
  4. I write about all the episodes on this blog.
  5. Suddenly, I am in Microsoft HQ.
  6. In front of me is a Windows 8 PC with Office 15 on it.
  7. I use it.
  8. I wake up.

Kind of simple. Kind of great. The only problem is that since it was a dream, the content of the Doctor Who episodes won’t actually be correct. Same with the Windows 8 PC. Terrible.

Before I end this post, let me talk to you about lucid dreaming. It is when people are able to have some control over their dreams. Have you ever had a lucid dream?

A double bed.

Fall asleep and drrreeeaaammmm.

When teleportation is finally possible

When teleportation is finally possible, where will I beam yourself first? Probably the headquarters of Microsoft – so I could see what was coming in the next version of Windows. But I’d also like to see the North Pole, or North America. So many to choose from! :-)

Where on earth (or beyond!) would you visit? Your family who live really far away? Or a place you have never been before?

This is, of course, assuming that you can teleport yourself back. It could be a teleportation app on your smartphone (iPhone, Android etc.) that worked with Google/Bing Maps so you could choose your exact location easily. Or it could be a chip inside your body, meaning you just had to think and you’d be at the place you want instantly. There probably would be technology in houses etc. blocking teleportation into them… otherwise thieves would take what they like.

So, where would you go? And would you be happy with anyone being able to get into your house at any time?

Is there going to be a teleportation app any time soon?

“There’s an app for that” – but not quite for everything…

If I could have any job in the world

It would be the CEO of Microsoft. I mean, what is not to love? You get to announce new products, be on Wikipedia… the opportunities appear to be endless. Steve Ballmer is a lucky man.

But being the CEO of Microsoft isn’t my only dream job. A best-selling author would be a nice job. Or the Prime Minister of the UK. Or the President of the USA. There are sure a lot of nice jobs out there.

What is your dream job? What is the worst job you have ever had (mine is having to move the school bench in and out in Year 6 – so boring and time-taking.. no, it wasn’t really that bad)? And what did you learn from that job?

Big severe warning: don’t post anything TOO bad here – a future employer could look here and maybe destroy your job prospects. Even if I deleted the comment/post, everything on the internet stays there FOREVER!! Seriously, though, it is true. :-)

A pile of books

Books!

My dream vacation/holiday

Describe your dream vacation. Ooh. It would probably be in a nice hotel (5 stars at least) with free internet access. And, of course, it would have to be completely free. No tips or anything. :-)

It would have a great view, as well. And maybe a gym. It would definitely have a really comfy double king-sized bed in my room, plus a huge HD TV that could also play movies/programmes in 3D – without the need for glasses. It would have Sky+ HD with Sky 3D.

The location would have to be somewhere near home, so I could visit the place easily.

What would your dream holiday/vacation be like?
